I feel like a complete idiot, and a lucky bastard, both at once, like the angel of crippling ambivalence flung pancake batter on my Nehru jacket.  It's the kind of good luck that keeps life slightly toxic.

I stupidly mail ordered a purported 8 terabyte external hard drive, offered from GiantStupidProducts  at a stupid low price.   Only a stupid, stupid fool would trust that simpering gaseous pipe dream.

Great mail service.   I got the thing in two days, took the risk, right out of the box.  Plugging it into the only desk top computer I have left, the precious few video and audio programs I use free of charge, and bazillion of photos, videos and text work could all eat shit for eternity if the device contains malware.    The defective hard drive appeared to be letting me copy terabytes of files and folders.  Elated stupid me till I checked results and the drive was defective in the same way other super-cheap storage devices have been.   I am a stupid slow learner.  I must 'splain.

Me, low net worth.  Very low.  I always risk misery such as I just had by buying items running at insane low prices.  It works well sometimes.  I've done well buying bargain musical equipment and jewelry.  The hard drive posed serious risk of damage to equipment, but luckily the only problem was it doesn't work.  It did no damage to the computer, so I'm happy about that.  Better, the seller will refund my money without my having to return the item.  I was fearful if I sent the hard drive back I could be vulnerable to cyber crime.  I have no way of knowing what info may have transferred from my computer to the shitty item.   Bastards could steal my identity, if they are that fucking desperate.

There's nothing illegal on my computers, but hackers hack into computers how ever they do and steal intellectual properties.  I'd rather they not grope the hard drive.  I'm sharing I still feel like a moron for buying the hard drive.  It wasted a load of time.

Heavens to Betsy, for some reason I feel like my thighs got a million times flabbier when I pontificate on the meaning of words and phrases, in this instance, 'attractive nuisance.'   I'll get less attractive, physically, yet, when I get to 'hostile and discriminatory environment.'

Insurance professionals gave the world 'attractive nuisances.'   Home and business owners are liable for harm people incur by their own stupidity and disrespect for others.   People who owned swimming pools were sued because people went swimming without permission, and drowned.   Rather than opine, or command,  for instance, adults and children have no right to trespass, and are expected to use judgment of normal people, it is on the owner of the pool to install fences and other appurtenances to protect stupid people from their negligent, disrespectful selves.   Invaders could have the sense to bring their own life preservers, but  home owners can be sued for not providing them.   People who need them are unfit to make decisions that affect other people.   Back to square one, people are sued for things people do to themselves without permission based on the reasoning that swimming pools are an attractive nuisance.

Fast review:  Homeowners know people can drown in their swimming pool, and that children and adults are likely to trespass and drown.   Meaning no tall fence and warning signs, no Klieg lights, no security staff, no pontoon boat to extract indigent families who invade your pool and are drowning, if you are negligent in not providing everything conceived by man or God,   Your pool is an attractive nuisance, and you must obey.  Now to bring more shit into the great stone soup of philosophy.

I've noticed over the years that people create attractive nuisances by bringing outside agendas into schools, libraries   This example is sick as fuck, sorry, but programs intended to help people addicted to drugs can have the effect of attracting drug dealers.   Dealing precipitates anyplace addicts meet, rehab facilities included.   Sorry again for bringing it up, but any institution that serves kids can attract sick disgusting perverts.  Again, the concept of attractive nuisance pops up.

This blog entry happened after reading something in a newspaper opinion section.  It had to do with signage and other media supporting the Rainbow and Inclusivity, DEI, other common identarian  political movements.  There are many sides to the arguments for and against gender and race politics in public institutions.   I have noticed what I considered to be hostile environments, and as well as complex of attractive nuisances on college campuses.  Agendas for or against Israel constitute both nasties, hostile leaning environments and the nuisance, in this case, violence and malice.   Any protest activity on a campus is likely to endanger people.   Sad to interject that any agenda could be inherently malicious, fraudulent, or criminal.  Marxist agendas are hostile in more ways than can be wunked out here.   Peace.
