What Kind Of Fool Am I?

Somewhere out there Sammy Davis, Jr is singing that beloved tune.  I can hear it in the mind's cache of party faves, like the songs youtube saves up for you like a deeply caring close relative.   The internet deserves a medal for replacing what used to be normal human relations.   Bravo.   I'm a happy little munchkin.  But not entirely.  There are some sore spots.

Real human relations appear to be at an all time low.   Homicide and suicide rates are up.   People are experiencing stresses and hardships here to fore unguessed.  The sense of self has always been to some degree under attack from without.   In days past people blamed Capitalism for it's pounding idiotic demands and intrusions.  Advertising has a way of telling people they are jerks for not buying things that could make them better people.  Implying that people are stupid until the buy brand X.   The new sources of misery, some of them, are the result of national agendas to change people.   We are all being blamed for someone else's misery.   If you didn't get your covid shot you are infecting people who did.   That's the kind of stress people are being subjected to.   Centrism, elementalism, universalism and flat out denial of the Two Party System are some of things I pitched over the last Lousy Seven Years, and having done so, I'm rather miserable.

For brevity, I wish people would ignore the two opposing parties and take action where needed.   I've noticed that some Democrats make it a point to accuse republicans of sex crime.  Some Republicans accuse Democrats of being subversive, treasonous Communists.   While you-know-who was president, Democrats obstructed every move he made, irrespective of merit.   Currently, and long before now, the government has been in a supposedly unconstitutional relationship with corporations.  One of the Bush Dynasty said the Constitution was just a sheet of paper.   I think this was in regard to the 'Patriot Act,' which enabled lots of government intrusion into privacy.   That's not what this blog post is about.

I'm suggesting people pretend there aren't two political parties that oppose each other.  Democrat and Republican voters should move closer together, mediate, play fair and nice.  Have a bi-partisan outdoor barbeque, fer chrisake.   I already made a fool of myself proposing a resurgence of hippy era Flower Power.   If you want to know what kind of fool I am, I'm trying it one more time.   Peace, tolerance, mediation.  Aggressive political agendas are probably contributing to the homicide and suicide rates.  And to a great deal of harm in general.  Get hip to Peace and Understanding.  Please direct agendas to politicians, and quit bashing each other.   It will be whole new year soon enough.   Make Peace and Tolerance top priority.
